They don’t look like a textbook counterintelligence unit. That’s the point.

Seventeen languages and dialects move through their bullpen on any given day, including three flavors of Chinese. A dumpster baby who never made mistakes twice. Two Caltech physics PhDs. A Carnegie Mellon computer scientist who paid his way through school counting cards in Atlantic City until the casinos started recognizing his face. A savant on the autism spectrum whose mind maps fault lines no one else can see.

They report to Major Will Morgan, the kind of officer who stays quiet when the room gets loud. He prizes talent over conformity, and his team has heard one line often enough to finish it for him:

About the Watchtower Series

ACIC is the only counterintelligence organization in the U.S. government with legal authority to investigate, detain, and prosecute espionage on foreign and domestic soil. That mandate puts Team Watchtower in places no other unit can legally go, often with consequences that reach the Oval Office.
